Welcome to Utopia Guesthouse & Yoga Studio: El Cuyo, the third chapter in our journey of creating exceptional guesthouses since 2012.
Our first Utopia opened its doors on the shores of Tulum, Mexico before its mainstream popularity hit and ruined the good vibes. After that, we trail blazed the way for vibrant cultural experiences at our retreat house in Havana, Cuba right when the moment opened for US travelers to explore the island. Always leading with our intuition and thirst for the newest under the radar hidden gem, we are excited to present our newest project in the serene coastal paradise of El Cuyo, Yucatan in Mexico.

Our seaside getaway on the beach in Mexico features a combo living and dining area, open kitchen and dedicated work space in the first floor of the house. An additional al fresco dining table for 12 guests is situated on the beachside terrace, offering stunning ocean views. The front porch, equipped with ceiling fans, invites you to unwind in one of six rocking chairs, perfect for savoring the slow, relaxing days in paradise.
Your perfect beach getaway house consists of up to 8 bedrooms, designed to be simple and comfortable. Rooms feature neutral tones and natural textures sourced locally right here in Mexico. Several rooms offer ocean views while others are interior accommodations. There are five rooms with a queen bed and three shared rooms, each with two twin beds to accommodate you and your guests.
Our beach house was built in the '90s by a local family so the original design was quarky to say the least. We have created some upgrades to the three full bathrooms that the house came with. Additionally you'll find a double sink wash area and an outdoor shower to supplement the needs of all guests. Curiously the only line that forms for one of these is at the outdoor shower…everyone's favorite spot!
Our second floor terrace doubles as an open-air studio with sweeping views of the stunning sea beyond, the Costa Esmerelda. Equipped with yoga mats, blankets, straps, and blocks, it's the perfect setting for your practice in a serene and inspiring environment. The space has 4 ceiling fans and is used to offer massages and host small groups for weddings and other ceremonies.
