About Utopia

Yoga class in front of the sea in Mexico.

Welcome to Utopia Guesthouse & Yoga Studio: El Cuyo, the third chapter in our journey of creating exceptional guesthouses since 2012.

Our first Utopia opened its doors on the shores of Tulum, Mexico before its mainstream popularity hit and ruined the good vibes. After that, we trail blazed the way for vibrant cultural experiences at our retreat house in Havana, Cuba right when the moment opened for US travelers to explore the island. Always leading with our intuition and thirst for the newest under the radar hidden gem, we are excited to present our newest project in the serene coastal paradise of El Cuyo, Yucatan in Mexico.

Each Utopia location is a testament to our dedication to providing unique, cutting-edge and unforgettable experiences for our guests. Discover the perfect blend of relaxation and adventure at Utopia Guesthouse & Yoga Studio in El Cuyo. Book your stay today to experience the magic for yourself.

Our fantastic local staff

We love the team that has formed at Utopia.

All local ladies bringing the good vibes, incredible meals, impeccably clean rooms and gorgeous smiles to our days.

There is nothing sweeter than knowing that all your needs are taken care of so you can sit back, relax and enjoy that well-deserved beach front getaway that you've been needing!

  • Start your day off with the coffee and tea bar stocked with fruit and small bites before yoga.

After class enjoy a plate of seasonal tropical fruits, house made Huevos Rancheros on handmade corn tortillas, our famous spicy chili oil, fresh fruit water and a fabulous oceanview.

  • The most delicious and refreshing housemade gazpacho topped with crispy corn tortilla strips followed by our staff's recipe of fresh, local shrimp ceviche Mexican style with corn chips and slices of cucumber and jicama. Wash it down with a chilled cucumber-lime water.

  • Dinner kicks off with a local classic called Sikil Pak, a ground pumpkin seed dip with roasted tomatos, spices and cilantro. Enjoy with jicama sticks and corn tortilla crisps. The main course to follow is the most famous Yucatan dish, Tikin Xic, a local fish with peppers, tomato and onions wrapped in a grilled banana leaf and baked to perfection. Served with cilantro rice and local veg, chayote. A thirst quenching hibiscus tea complements the meal.
